We help to generate extra revenue for the local community through the jobs being offered and our investment in the community
We gave an outlet for stranded power that had been created and had nowhere to go.
We are using the underutilized energy capability allotted to the town that, in any other case, would be sitting idle, and which can now create additional income for the community. At the end of the day, it’s a win-win situation for both parties.
We directly invested $500,000 dollars into the economic system hiring solely native contractors but also created seven full-time well-paying tech jobs with a further seven jobs being staffed as we speak.
The remoteness of the site provided a few challenges our team was able to solve. One of these being getting a proper working network connection. We also had to clear and prepare the land as it was not suitable to our needs at first.
The biggest challenges we had to overcome regarding this site are the extreme heat and the remoteness of the site.
This caused us to look for satellite and cellular solutions to service our data centers until we could get a fiber solution.
We have also had to get creative with the ways we cool our data centers. These include increased speed for ventilation and proper placement of Miners to decrease heat generation.
The location and remoteness of the site provided us with a few unique challenges, such as but not limited to excavation of the site, getting a proper fiber connection and the effects of extreme temperature.
This location has us working closely with our customers and the local community, as we are always trying to resolve issues that make each site unique.
